- I love the small education lessons they throw into the series which then is used as references. Also wonder what the persuading story/reason chrollo tells spider candidates since I know they have a real reason for its formation and purpose
- I love Hunter x Hunter, its the best manga I ever read! The story is highly unique and original compared to most Action-Adventure mangas, with a great cast of characters, many amazing locations and the manga isn't super-action-oriented compared to DBZ, Naruto, Fairy Tail or Bleach. A great must-buy!
- Volume 10 is another strong one from "Hunter x Hunter." The story moves along. The art is terrific as usual.
- This is the book where the main characters get into the thick of the action with the Phantom Troupe, and you get to see Kurapika's power, so it's a great read, a good continuation of the story

- This is probably one of the best mangas ever written... It's fun, dark, sometimes complicated, well thought out, it's not another title in the genre(shonen). It's very original, and most of all unpredictable. I've read the manga online, twice, and now I'm buying the books because I think, and this is a personal view, it's the only manga worth buying.
- Hunter X Hunter, Vol. 10 is a continuation of the Yorknew arc, which I don't particularly care for. It's mostly about them getting the Greed Island video game, which costs J6,000,000,000 or more. I find the arc a little weak in the same way I find most opening or training arcs to be a little weak. You know that they'll probably end up as hunters when they're in the exams, and you know they're probably going to get the video game.
Still, this is very good writing, and even in an arc that is my least favorite so far, I'm really enjoying reading this series. They're trying to pay for Greed Island by getting the reward money for capturing the Spiders, but will they end up in the Spiders' web? There is also a bit where they use their Nen abilities to find valuable items in the middle of all the auctions in Yorknew. It's not fighting magical beasts or battling assassins, but I tended to like it. Being a hunter means having all sorts of opportunities opened up for you, and this is just one of them. ****, because it was neat.
